Today was awesome.
Spent the morning sipping a diet Tazo “Giant Peach” and wandering the aisles of Orchard and Home Depot with my husband, Scott. We got a ton of wonderful flowers and veggies to plant in our beautiful patio garden. I wanted a bunch of veggie varieties because I figure that once I’m preggers I could be all organic and eat some shit I grew myself. Plus Organic vegetables are wayyyyy too expensive.
Just a hint to anyone reading: The people who work in the nursery at Home Depot might as well be retarded. Last year we got a beautiful papyrus plant there and I wanted another one for my balcony. Anyways, I found a few scattered around Home Depot but they were all basically clinging to life. So I asked a guy that worked there “Where can I find Papyrus?” and he’s all “We don’t carry papyrus.” I’m thinking to myself ‘WTF?!’ because clearly I know they carry it since they had several. Anyways…I asked like 4 other people who all told me that they didn’t carry papyrus. Finally I told the last guy “Look, I know you have it. I want to know WHERE THE NON-DEAD ones are!” So after actually taking the man to the dead papyrus and showing him what it looked like…he was able to lead me to the 87 healthy papyruses that they didn’t carry. But I digress…
I spent the afternoon by the pool with my sister-in-laws Sarah and Krust. I’m actually getting a tan. It’s amazing. I kinda wish I didn’t have to share the pool with the whole neighborhood but whatever. It is still pretty awesome. We were there for a good two hours.
THEN: To add to the all around wonderfulness of the day;
We obtained PLAZA GOURMET at like 4:45…right before they closed and then headed to the movie theatre to see BABY MAMA.
1. Plaza Gourmet Delicatessen is amazing. I hear their Philly Cheese Steaks are unreal. I don’t eat those though so I really have no idea. I just get a basic Turkey Sandwich but the way they make it is magical. The guy that owns it is kinda crabby. He owns it with his crabby wife. They never smile. This just proves the sandwiches are awesome…I’m willing to take the abuse for literally Turkey, bread, mayo and lettuce. It’s really good bread!!!

2. Baby Mama is pretty funny. Maybe a 3 out of 5. It wasn’t amazing. That’s not to say I won’t see it again…when it’s on Blu-Ray.
AND HERE’S THE KICKER!
After the movie I did some late-night gardening. I have a serious paper wasp problem at my house and I was scared to be gardening while the bees are in full force. So I gardened from about 8-10 PM. It looks amazing and to celebrate we played scrabble on the patio.
I know I sound 40 and not 25….but today really was perfect. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
LOVE.
