So, after Hudson’s doctor’s appointment we hung around before heading over to Burlingame High School’s track. I had decided to go to this bootcamp class that Scott’s aunt goes to and swears by that is held on the field. I dunno really what I was thinking it was gonna be like, and it’s safe to say I have definite physical challenges. Yes, folks, I’m challenged!
I asked Scott to come along and walk the track just in case I had a coronary. He took Hudson in the Ergo baby and got a bit of exercise as well.
As luck would have it, the instructor apparently never showed. So, it was me & about 10 other people (who know the workout) doing kind of our own thing. That was helpful for me because as I soon found out- I cannot run for SHIT! We decided to run the track as a warm up. I made it from one end to the other on the straight before I had to walk the curve and couldn’t comfortably hold a conversation. I am super out of shape. When a month before getting knocked up- I could do and hour long spin class with no issues and then a pilates class after- now I can’t run an 8th of a mile.
Anyways, it basically went that we ran a lap (or walked most of it, like me) and then went back to our mats and did hella squats, arm exercises with weights and situps OH! and my favorite THE PLANKKKKKK. Duh duh duhhhhhhhh. Then more running- except this time because the universe hates me we ran the bleachers. I didn’t do very well to say the least. then back to the mats- it went like that for an hour till everyone decided it was time to go home. I plan to go back once a week and hopefully build my running endurance, which seems to be my issue. I can do weights and stuff all day. It’s cardio that makes me want to die. Maybe the years of smoking (At least I’ve stopped that!!!) coupled with the fact that I really haven’t actually hardcore worked out since May 2008!? Anyways, I need to work on my running abilities. It’s just sad.
As we walked back to the car we noticed my Godparent’s garage door was open (they live across the street from the school) and we walked over for a visit, so they could see Mr. Hud-B. We had a nice visit and they gave us organic green beans and summer squash from their garden, as well as a bell pepper. Perfect for Hudson! You know how I loveeeeee making babyfood!
Scott had been wanting to walk to the front of the school to look at these concrete patches that each class gets to write their name in, so after our visit with my Godparents, we headed through BHS to the front. They have done so much remodeling since the old days. I know I didn’t go there, but I shadowed enough times.. Anyhow, at least you can still tell it’s the Dangerous Minds school from the front! lol. So, we found the 1998 slab and found Scott’s name, which he is convinced he didn’t even write himself. He says he was “probably not at school.” Then, we found 2002, which was Sarah and Steph’s class and found their names. Then, when we finally found the 2000 class slab- we walked around looking for Krust, Lisa and all the guys, etc. but we couldn’t find anyone we actually hung out with. Weird.
At this point I was freezing my ass off, since I had forgotten a blanket for the chaichai and had to give up my sweatshirt to keep him warm. So, we headed back to the car and went to the grocery store.
Got more stuff to make into baby food. Then we made sweet potatoes & the summer squash and green beans from my godparents for Hudson, although, I’m pretty sure half is gone due to Scott’s “taste tests.”
Now, I just finished watching Weeds and am getting ready for bed.
Good times today. <3

And Hudson LOVED them. He had them mixed with summer squash for breakfast. I also tried yogurt, but he didn’t seem so happy about the yogurt.
