This is the first day of my life.

Nuggetpants Chaichai.

July 20th, 2009

Yes, I knew this already, but this baby boy of mine is a teeny, tiny little nugget.

Today was his 6-month well visit and homeboy is still off-the-charts skinny pants. (But, to my credit- he did gain almost 3 pounds in the last two months!)

He now weighs 13#3.9oz. That’s the 1%. 99% of children at his age are heavier.
He is 25 3/4” tall. I think that’s only like the 25th or 26th percent.
His babydome pinhead is only in the 9th percentile.

So, he’s a nugget. I was born a decent size, but in younger years I was really small. Until I learned about Taco Bell, that is. The doctor isn’t worried and said that him sitting without support is pretty great, since if they sit WITH support at 6 months that’s considered good (rather, normal.)

Also, since he was breastfeeding exclusively for 5+ months, I literally had NO idea how much formula to be giving him. So, the doctor said it is age in months + 2. As in at 6 months, he should get 8 ounce bottles. I’m a winner and give him 4 ounce bottles, usually. So, I learned something new. I also got the OK for the foooood! Dr. Clark says the only items off limits are: Peanuts/Peanut butter, cows milk and shellfish due to Scott’s history of scary allergies to shellfish. I was also told he should eat solids 2-3 times a day! Can’t wait to really start cookin’!

I don’t doubt he will grow to be a beanpole. With Scott being 6′ and pretty thin (still at 29!) and my brother being 6’1” and probably 130 pounds at 19 years old.
