Saturday morning we woke up so eaarly, I don’t even know what was wrong with us! We were dressed and out and about at 9 am! We went down to Starbuck’s, because ours is being remodeled and we wanted to go one last time before they closed on Sunday. Yes, we are addicted. So, we sat outside in the warm sun and had coffee. It was wonderful. We basically sat there completely silent though, since we were both up wayyyyyy too early for our own good.
Our cleaning lady had cancelled last week, so since we had so much time, we decided to clean the house and also get all the stuff together for the GARAGGGGGE SALE! Every year our HOA does a collective garage sale out in the pool parking lot and it always gets a ton of traffic. Last year I think I made close to $300.00. I am hoping this year is no different- especially since our pile is growing at a very steady rate. The house got SPOTLESS over the course of the day and by dinner we were pooped.
Sarah came over in the evening to visit and bring over the carpet cleaner. I am going to attempt to clean our bedroom carpets which are so disgusting I cannot even handle it. GROSS! Lucky for us, most of the house is hardwood. And even though I hate sweeping more than ANYTHING, hardwood doesn’t STAIN and for some reason, the dogs have decided that only carpet will work when they decide to barf or have an accident even though they have been potty trained for years. Yuck.
Sunday morning, we woke up later. We hung around and got ready slowly. Byt the time we headed out for breakfast, it was 11:30. So, we decided to for-go breakie & headed to Plaza Deli for deli sandos. And they were YUMMMMM!!!. After “brunch” we started organizing the garage sale stuff in the garage, but gave up very quickly. We decided that it would be more fun to walk to the neighborhood park and put Hudson on the swings for the very first time. He loved it. We got lots of pics of him smiling away and we took a ton of family pics as well. It was good times. After the park, we were sweating bullets and decided to go to the pooolllll. Always fun.
By the time we got home we were SUPER LAZY and our plans to BBQ quickly became our plans to drive to Chipotle for dinner. It was worth it. SOOOO YUMMY! After dinner, we spread out a blanket in the living room and played with Hudson while watching some Anderson 360 special of Obama’s visit to Africa. Hudson was more interested in Obama than his toys. Such an intellectual!
All and all- it was SUCH a relaxing weekend and we did it all on like $60.00 because we are broke. lol. I literally cannot spend a dime for a while. So, hanging out at home worked well. Tomorrow, I think I may head out to Brizio’s to make some moneyyyyyy. Boss man says there is some mailing list project I can work on.
Today, Hudson has his 6 month well visit. I am hoping that he has gained weight, since last time he was under the zero percentile for height-weight-age. Then, tonight, I am headed to my very first BOOTCAMP workout. I’m not gonna lie, I might pass out and die, but it sounds like a good idea, so I’ll try my best.
