And totally brag about this kid of mine!!
Hudson is not quite 7 months. On the 20th, he will be officially 7 months. But, since June 20th, when he turned the big 6-month, he has been doing some crazy stuff that I wasn’t expecting.
Homeboy can crawl. It’s a hybrid of the military crawl, but for the most part he is high on all fours doing an honest-to-goodness CRAWL. It’s adorable. In the morning when he lays in bed with us- the crawling is even more amazing because he can crawl OVER things- like myself or his father- to get to things he feels like doing: like torturing the dogs while they attempt to sleep!
The has been sitting up on his own for well over a month, when you place him in the sitting position, but in the last few weeks I have realized he can go from the laying down position to sitting. I will find him after a nap sitting upright in his crib playing quietly with a toy. Amazing.
He even helps at diaper change time. Lifts his legs when he should, puts them down when he should. Such a helpful little man!!
AND TODAY!? I put him in his crib while I went to barf and I came back and he had grabbed the side, pulled himself up and was standing there watching Maggie & The Ferocious Beast with a giant smile on his face!!!!
Now, don’t judge me- I actually don’t beleive in TV for babies- but at this point I’m throwing my standards out the window for the sake of getting through the day. I am dragging. Barfing. Not keeping anything down. Losing weight at a very respectable rate. So, I am willing to keep Hudson somewhat entertained with TV so he won’t get into trouble when I have to run to the bathroom. Luckily, he seems mostly less-than interested. Hopefully as I recover, I will be able to play with him more and watch TV with him less.
I’m so proud of my little guy. I saw this kid in the post office a few weeks ago and the kid was 7 months. WALKING. WALKING like without any help. I asked the mom how old h was, since he looked ultra small to be walking as well as a 2 year old. She told me 7 months and that he started walking right before 6 months. Now, that kid was AMAZING and obviously advanced, but hey- walking is supposed to mastered by like, what? 1? Maybe there is a chance for my little guy to learn early. I think it will be really helpful if he can walk before his siblings arrive.

Aww I love these blogs. All that you wrote is so exciting. I can’t believe how big he’s getting. I seriously NEED to get down there stat. I really have NO good excuse besides laziness.
Milo is working on rolling over. So I’ll be excited when that happens!!! I tried to make him sit up the other day….as you could guess that didn’t end well.
Keep up the good work Hudson!!!!
I bet he will be walking at ten months.

That’s awesome! The walking thing is pretty amazing to watch, I’m still excited to see Johnathan walk around. He was 9 months when he started which was surprisingly early and really fun but now he doesn’t like to sit in his stroller when we go out he wants to walk around… fun but a bit of a pain in the ass too. Ahh kids…

Hi Emily, I really enjoy your blog! I hope you and Debby can come to Chico. I know you’re feeling poorly though so if not we will be coming to the bay area soon so we will see you then. We got some really cute stuff for Hudson in Canada and hope we can get it to you soon.If not I’ll mail it. We can also meet somewhere even at the area where the Nut Tree used to be. WhenAunt Hattie gets home from the hospital we will definitely be down there. Love, Grandma
