Happy Birthday.
My mother-in-law, Alana is no longer “with us.” In fact, it’s been almost 5 years since she suddenly passed away. Saturday is her birthday and now is a wonderful time to celebrate what a loving and giving person she was. I only got to know her for a brief 7 years, but my family, my husband and my two best friends and sister-in-laws are testament to what a wonderful person Alana was.
It’s hard to believe it’s been so long.
We are going to go “visit her” tonight with Hudson. It’s important to me that he, and my other, future children know much about their grandmother and remember her by being people she would have been proud of.

You make me want to cry. I can’t wait to tell Hudson and the babies all about my Mom! I can just imagine her with Hudson now! She would be so over the moon about him.
It’s such a bittersweet time with her Birthday this weekend and then the Holidays. I Love it so much, but it’s just painful. I dunno. I miss my Mommy.
I Love you, Emmy. You’ve been an amazing addition to the Brandt family. I’m not sure how we got so lucky, really. I know my Mom would be thankful of everything you do for all of us!
I am just as lucky, Krust. I’m glad we all have eachother. I know it’s a hard time of year- but we’ve been getting through it and making the best of everything! I know she would be extremely proud of all of you. Love you sister!
I have been thinking about her a lot the past couple of days. I know im not a Brandt but she was a second mother to me and I truely miss her a lot.
