I think this may be my favorite milestone yet. Hudson lovesssss to give me kisses. (and himself) I have been puckering my lips and saying “kisses” and he comes at you all open mouth and gross. But last night when he was getting tired while we were eating at Mimi’s- He kept standing up and leaning on my shoulder and giving me kisses. Without me asking. Which, frankly is the cutest shiz EVER.

On a complete tangent- I had a dream last night that Hudson said “spider monkey” like as his first word. It was really strange. I am hoping he gets past “Hi” and “mama” and “dada” very soon. One of the most frustrating things about being a parent is literally not speaking the same language. I would love for him to wake up and be like “Mommy, let’s ________” The guesswork is sometimes too hard. He will point in the direction of something and I will have to grab 5 different objects before he nods his head. If he could be like “Hey Mom- grab me that water bottle to play with” things would be much easier.

It’s pretty clear that “baby” is it’s own language at this point. When Hudson hears another baby cry or jabber- he starts jabbering away like he totally understood what they said.

OK- that’s it- I have to go rescue a catalog from Hudson’s slobbery kisses! He is in the process of making out with all the kids in the pictures. Sweet? Gross? I’m just really not sure.
