Claptastic.

Hudson may be slow to the party because I feel like clapping would be a milestone that is met much earlier than almost 11 months.

But, hilariously enough even though I have tried to teach him to clap- tonight he clapped. Granted, he has clapped before- but not repetitively with audible volume like a real human. AND it was appropriately awesomely at the end of a dance routine on SYTYCD. The dance was over. The audience clapped and so did he. It continued like that for two whole hours and I loved it.

Of course, after the clapping he also felt he should kiss both his father and I. I don’t care how weird it is. There is nothing sweeter than watching your son try to french his father. ADORABLE.

BTW: I love love loved SYTYCD tonight. I also love their use of Portishead. Always good times.

  1. haha – awesome post, lady! such a cute visual you painted. nuthin’ better than accidental baby frenches, so far as i’m concerned! poppy has pretty much mastered the slobbery, open-mouthed-lunge-kiss for mama and dada. so cute! cheers! (:

i always thought clapping was like a 8 month thing but Harper just learned a month or two ago also. clapping and kisses are 2 personal faves of mine, even if the kisses are open mouthed and drooly. and how cute that he knew people were clapping and followed suit! little smarty.

I gotta come by and join in all this clapping and kissing fun! <333

Oh, and I totally SHOT up in excitement on my couch as soon as I heard the Portishead track begin. p.s. I voted for the first time tonight. haha

yeah, I was pretty stoked. He is getting better about the kisses. He def knows what kisses are but sometimes would rather play than kiss his parentals, but I’m sure that is the case with most kids. :(

As far as the clapping- yeah- I was cracking up. The fact that he waited until appropriate to try out his skill made my day. I’m glad to hear he wasn’t super late with this trick.

And Krust: Who did you vote for? I kinda felt really bad for poor whats-her-name that couldn’t dance. I feel like I should have called in for her!

Well, I voted 3 times… because it was hard to choose.

I did vote for Ashleigh. Even though she annoyed me at first, I’ve come to really really like her. She’s been my favorite female dancer. and, yeah it SUCKS that she couldn’t perform last night. I bet she would have been pretty rad in the Bollywood (Ballywood?) routine. And I also voted for Russel and Legacy, my favs! I almost voted for Jakob too, because I do enjoy him. But, I think he’ll be fine without my vote. And 3 was more than enough.
