That’s just the wayyyyyy it issssss
“Things’ll never be the same
That’s just the way it is
aww yeahhhhh
We gotta make a change…
It’s time for us as a people to start makin’ some changes.
Let’s change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live
and let’s change the way we treat each other.
You see the old way wasn’t working so it’s on us to do
what we gotta do, to survive.”
Ok, in the words of 2Pac, because I’m westside till I D-I-E, today we are starting making some changes.
Last night I went to the grocery store & like a really bad mom- I forgot that we were running out of formula. Although this seems like a pretty dick move on my part- I don’t BUY formula as our entire formula intake over the past 6 months has been given to us! (Scott’s aunt is a nurse & hooks it up) So, I just assumed we had more cans in the closet. Usually I’ve got like 10 cans waiting. Oops.
So, after returning from the store and getting in my PJs & shit Scott went to make Hudson’s night baba, which apparently used every last bit of formula.
Anyways: the point of the story is that he is turning 1 year old in less than 2 weeks now. I figured that milk couldn’t be that different now & two weeks from now, so this morning- Hudson got his morning bottle. OF MILK. COLD. And surprisingly, although it took more than the usual 30 seconds to drink, he drank the entire 7 ounce bottle. It was 2% milk because that’s all I have, but since it went over so well I think I will run out and get whole milk today and just start my little man on his 1 year old style diet.
So, in a few we are off to have Oatmeal & banana.
And for lunch I am thinking some cheerios & a veggie of sorts.
And for dinner? I think he will just get whatever we eat.
So, today, my baby is officially graduating from Wholesome Baby Food to Wholesome TODDLER Food.
Big steps. BIG steps.
*EDIT: Just so everyone is clear- I checked with above mentioned pediatric nurse-aunt before doing this. She said it’s all good. That 2 weeks makes no difference and that by the next baba I should def go get WHOLE milk.*
