Now that I got you sucked in with promises of giant cupcakes:
Here are pictures of the decor that my sister-in-law Krust & I crafted over the last month. I’m pretty proud of it- since I didn’t think I had the crafty gene. Which, is reason #1 why I enlisted Krust. She def has the crafty gene.
But, I surprised even myself. And I think everything turned out great. YAY!
Some of the food- we had to add a third table.
Remember that mallard duck? ME EITHER!
Krust & I made the banner like at 12 the night before.
Some gifts for my spoiled kid.

Thanks, mama. Luckily, I had the opportunity to get crafty ideas from bloggin’ mamas who dealt with this 1st birthday business before me!

Dude, you’re embarassing me. Not only do I not have 80 people to invite to my kid’s 1st birthday, my plans were to just hand him a cupcake and call it good. Why do you have to go and be so crafty and cool (ROBOTS?! Awesome!) and creative? Shit, don’t let my baby see this or he’ll know I don’t love him as much as other mommies love their kids.
P.S. And you did it PREGNANT! Super Mom!

lol! Thank you, Suzanne! But, to take all the credit would be lying. I did do most of the decor and decorating (with my sis-in-law) but I have a LITERAL army of people who helped make this thing happen. AND my husband didn’t make me change one diaper all day. What a trooper!

[...] theme. Oh, what should the theme be? E: Sure. Me: My internet friend Emmie did robots. Want to see her son’s robot party? Robots are really cool, right? But we could do something else. Maybe animals, like my baby shower. [...]
