Beautiful Blogger <3
Mrs. Emily Bilbrey of Poppy Milkface has nominated lil’ ol’ me for a little blog appreciation award. YAYYY! Emily: you are the raddest of the rad, mama. I am so lucky to have (cyber) met you! <3 If you don't know Emily & her beautiful baby girl Poppy- you should go check out her blog with the quickness.
Now, for the chain-letter like rules of the Beautiful Blogger award:
1. thank the person who nominated me for this award
2. copy the award & place it on my blog
3. link to the person who nominated me for this award
4. share 7 interesting things about myself
5. nominate 7 other beautiful bloggers
So, for the interesting facts~
Jesus. I dunno. I mean, if you read the blog, you've probably learned so much more about me than you ever wanted to!
I kinda don't know where to start.
1. I bite my nails like in the most hardcore way. It's so disgusting but after almost 27 years of trying to stop I still do it. When I am stressed I bite my nails down until they bleed. AKA: basically the entire last 8 months. FILTHY.
2. Even though I am totally done having my own kids- I made sure with the doctor that my parts will all still work in case someone ELSE needs help having children. It's too much of a joy to think about anyone I know missing it! Literally makes me cry thinking about.
3. When I clean the house I have an OCD thing that i cannot shower or brush my teeth or anything until the house is clean- then I get clean. That's probably gross, but I figure- what's the point of showering and stuff when you're just gonna get dirty.
4. I don't like cooked fruit of any sort. I also hate cooked veggies- except broccoli & corn if that counts. Like, I won't eat pie. Or cobbler. Or that lovely spinach recipe everyone loves. I have the palate of a 5 year old. That's not to say I don't love fruits & veggies though. I just like them raw. In salad or crudite` form. OH man, and I have an unhealthy love for green grapes, granny smith apples (must be refrigerated) & watermelon. FYI.
5. I take the world's LONGEST showers. Like, I'm 100% unconcerned with the environment when I get a chance to get in that shower. It's where I do my best thinking and I am known to stay in the shower till the house runs out of hot water. Not very earth friendly- but oh-so-wonderful!!
6. I might have the world's biggest collection of make-up. But I actually wear make-up about twice a month. Recently when I was cleaning the loft that is to be converted to the kid's room & playroom, I went through a box of receipts and almost cried at how much I've spent at Sephora. I probably could have bought a car. It's sick.
7. My husband & I have worked together for the same company twice, both times he got me a job. We worked at a deli together in high school & then when I graduated high school he got me a job at the plumbing company he was working at. Working with your spouse is stressful to say the very least. I'm not sure how after those two jobs we decided to start our company together. He & I & business don't really mix.
Those were not exactly interesting facts- but whatever- it's 7 facts & that was the rules.
NOW! For my bloggie friends!!
1. Bigger By the Belly. My favorite Canadian that I’m not related to! So happy to have found Miss B of Bigger by the Belly. She is witty and interesting and funny as hell. She has great insights and great information for moms and expecting moms alike. Plus, she’s really friendly. And small. Actually, now that I think of it- you’ll probably read for a while & then end up hating her because she will totally be the girl who completely bounces back in like a month. <3
2. Bebehblog. OMG. Suzanne is a riot. She is like the Chelsea Handler of Mommy bloggers. Cracks me up everytime. Plus she knits & her little kiddo, Baby E is super advanced. I think he started walking recently and he is at least several months younger than Hudson.
3. Love, Life, Stress & Set-Backs. Kristi is the only Mommy Blogger I know IRL & I have been following her blogs wayyyyyy before she was married or prego or a mommy. Her wonderful husband, Mercer is a high school friend of my husband’s and I hope that someday soon they will live near us because the kids are so close in age & duh! The parents are all friends!
4. The McClelland Family. I found the McClelland Family because my sis-in-law & I were both reading another blog quite religiously that linked this site. Krust, who is a big fan of Nick Thune was STOKED to discover that his sis was Kirsten- of The McClelland Fam. I admittedly have no clue who he is, but checked it out anyhow & soon fell in love with little Lila & Mary. Plus the fact that I didn’t know any twin moms so I have been learning a bit about what I have in store from supermommy Kirsten!
5. Silence & Noise. Andrea & her son Bresho are literally the cutest thing ever. Andrea is from Columbia & her fiance is from Poland & they live in Canada! Talk about multi-cultural. She is in the process of planning a wedding & working & taking care pf the little one all at once. Multi-tasker! She still finds time to post beautiful pictures and design ideas that get my mind racing. Truly a gem in mom-blog land.
6. Adventures of Benji Corn. I found this site through Silence & Noise. I haven’t been reading long but I fell in love looking at a post of her wedding photos. She looked like a hollywood movie star. Gorgeous. As is her little guy, Benji. Definitely worth checking out!
7. All Things Life. KERRRRRIIIIIIIII <3 I'm not sure there has ever been a sweeter person. I had seen her blog a few times and hadn't commented because that was still at a time where I was shy about comment spamming all the mommies I obsess over. But, one day I got an email from her & she introduced herself. She also, without ever really getting to know me sent us a HUGE package of baby clothes for Sawyer. It was literally one of those moments when you think "wow! there are really great people out there!" She & her beautiful daughter Ella can be seen on her blog where she takes the most beautiful pictures. It's hard not to fall in love with them, because literally they are just GOOD PEOPLE. Plus- her hubs has a fierce beard. +5 for the Green Family!
8. Harper’s Happenings. I know it said 7- & I figure Mandy doesn’t need the traffic, as she is taking the blogosphere by storm- but Mandy was the first blogger I became friends with that I didn’t know IRL. She has always been super sweet & hello! Look at freaking HARPER!? Anyways, through meeting her and reading blogs of her friends- I have “met” so many fascinating and wonderful cyber-mom-friends.

you’re so sweet. i am totally the rogue number 8. :] love you mama! good blog list, too!
you deserved it, lady! it was hard to pick out of all my lovely mama friends, but i knew you/kerri etc. would fill in where i left off! ;D cheers!

Oh thank you Emmie Bee (I can’t even pretend to call you Emily since your internet name is so cute)! I will try to return the favor as soon as I finish blogging about my fat and my boobs and the birthday sex my husband’s going to get on Thursday. I really am horribly inappropriate, aren’t I?
P.S. I sent your package today so watch that PO Box!
OMG I do # 3 too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought i was alone. ha ha ha ha!! Also, thanks for a few new blogs to stalk, keep up the awesome writing!
Thanks for the Bloggy Loveeeeee….
Between you, Mrs. Babe Chilla, and Bilbrey I kind of don’t have 7 that I LOVE. So I might do this way into the future…
First of all–I LOVE the fact that your sister in law is a fan of my big bro Nick! He was on Leno this week again and I almost peed my pants laughing at his “Ideal Situations” bit.
Anywho–off to blog my acceptance speech for this award!
A little stressed out about linking 7 other blogs…I read yours, Mandy’s, Emily’s, and the blogs from my twins group…so, we’ll see if I can scrounge up maybe 4 or 5 other bloggers?
I also have to tell you that I am super-anxiously-awaiting the arrival of Hudson and Sawyer and check your blog, oh, about four times a day JUST incase there’s any news.
Thank you!! You made my day with this award.
I am very happy to have met you and I love reading your blog. I know I’ve told you a million times, but I seriously CANNOT wait to meet the babes. I will keep sending you positive vibes during these last weeks before the grand debut. xoxo
