75% of the time when I tell Milo "no" he listens and moves away from what he is doing. Ohhhh but that other 25% of the time he laughs and laughs and then continues doing what I was telling him not to in the first place but , this time he does it even more aggressively than he was to begin with. Then I pick him up and put him in his playpen where he cries for a few minutes and then I take him out and put him on his scooter or give him something new to play with and that usually works. The crying for a few minutes makes him lose track of whatever bad he was doing to begin with.

What about time outs? My moms trick was to take us out of the room/away from toys until we would listen. I think we even had a time out chair. Anyway, it worked for her but I don't know - boys can be reallllly stubborn! I've heard other moms says their kids laugh @ them when punishment is attempted. That would drive me bananas! Good luck dear!!

Cute blog! Congrats on the upcoming 3 under 2! I'm a mama of 3 under 2, all boys. It's tough, but fabulous. (I found you on top mommy blogs.)

Tried that. He is stubborn. He walks bck to the same thing (in this case the fireplace tools) over and over. I pulled him away with toys and all that probably 5 times. While he giggled.

How about telling him "NO" and then redirecting his attention to something you would rather he be doing?
