So, the other day my mom called & was telling me about this article she read in the paper about green sparks flying from a baby’s diaper when it was opened. It sounded absolutely completely ridiculous. She was totally into the story & told me she’d bring me the article.
My parents come over every Wednesday for dinner, because they live close to an hour away from us. My mom brought the article the other Wednesday & I read it and was kinda laughing, because the columnist that did the article said YES, you can have green sparks fly from a baby butt. Weeeirdddd.
Anyhow, that night after my parents left it HAPPENED. Maybe because I was looking for it? But, I woke Scott up in the middle of the night for verification. He also saw them- I have a witness. When changing BOTH the twins I saw green sparks. I was kinda stoked.
It’s apparently the same phenomenon when you get Wintergreen Lifesavers to spark in your mouth. It’s not static & produces no heat and it’s called TRIBOLUMINESCENCE.
Just thought I’d share & see if any other parents have seen this weird reaction? If I hadn’t read this article I think I’d for sure think the kids’ nasty dipes were nuclear.
