This is the first day of my life.

In a nutshell

April 18th, 2010

This weekend was awesome & busy. We did a lot of stuff & now? Yeah, I’m having trouble keeping my eyes open. Friday night our friends The Booyeahs came over for the Sharks play-off game & pizza. They hadn’t met the twins yet & I was so happy we finally got to get together. They were so sweet & not only picked up dinner but brought the kids a little something which was totally unnecessary but awesome! Also? The Sharks won the game. Rad.

Saturday Morning we got up suppppper early to head up to our friends The Hawks’ son’s 1st birthday party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. MILO!!!
It was really fun & I just love it when Hudson has a chance to interact with kids his own age. Little Milo’s party was very nice & we all enjoyed ourselves. It was also awesome because I got to meet a new friend whom I have been talking to through blogging for a few months, Lindsey. And, Lindsey is like AN AMAZING photographer. She sent me over a few shots she took of my little ones & I am dying. Great work mama!

Hudson nomming on some CHeerios

Pensive Hudson.

How cute is this little baby butt!? GAHHH!

Sawyer <3

Aren’t those super nice? Good stuff! I will have to plan a trip up that way again soon so I can get her to do some portraits of the whole fam together. I didn’t 1960s-ize her pics because they are so clear & cool- even without the use of Picnik!

Here are a few more from the party:

The story behind his lack of clothing goes like this: there was a water table for the kids to play with. I’m a rookie at this whole Mom thing & didn’t bring a change of clothes. SOAKED BABY!

My family. Minus one adorable little Hudson.

Tru’s face literally kills me. I know it’s horrible to say but in comparison to Hudson at 6 weeks & Sawyer at 6 weeks: Tru is the cutest so far at this age.

The obligatory downs of the Mr. & myself. Oh, & Soybean too!

Lunchtime for Hud Bee.

He was so into my glasses on Saturday!

We have a ton of pics but of course, Kristi has yet to put up Milo’s birthday party post, so I can’t steal her/Milo’s thunder by posting pics of her party before she can! So, you can always check her blog. I linked it at the beginning of the post.

Then we headed to my aunt & uncle’s for my cousin Michael’s 16th birthday party. It was also very fun but of course, I was fading fast. It was a longggg day.

This is Mikey & some of the guests singing Happy Birthday. He is such a nice kid. We love this guy! Plus- he was nice enough to entertain like 15 kids at HIS birthday party by playing hockey in the street with all the little kids.

Hudson wanted to join in but ended up getting a hockey stick to the face and a subsequent black eye to show for it. It’s cool though. He’s a tough kid for his age & it only bothered him for a minute.

Saturday night my mom took Hudson to her house for a sleepover at Nonnie & Papa’s house. That was pretty great because this morning- Scott, Tru, Sawyer & I slept in & then went to buy toys for Hudson. We got him the cutest Pirate water table, since he seemed to have so much fun at Milo’s party.

We also bought this thing that shoots bubbles all over. So, when he came home we played with the water table whist bubbles flew everywhere & it was awesome.

Plus- a Sharks playoff game was on tonight. But, as you know that had a horrible ending. :(

All in all it was a fabulous weekend.

Fabulous! Love the new photos of you guys and all the kids! The babies are looking just beautiful and Hudson – holy smokes! He is just gorgeous. I love photos taken in sunshine – it really shows true colors & expressions that are hard to capture indoors. Love this!! Thanks for sharing!!

p,s. I use an old cool pix nikon. It’s pretty basic and old and it’s falling appart, but it is awesome. I was thinking on writing a post about it soon! I hope I can buy a DSLR soon, but with the wedding coming up, there will be no money in mah pocket :(
