Summer 2010

You guys- this weekend was the very first weekend it FELT LIKE SUMMER. And it felt SO GREAT.

Friday night, Scott & I did a bit of gardening at about 11 PM after I ran some errands. (I’m sure that I’ve mentioned our serious paper wasp issue.) I felt accomplished because we bought a ton of plants like 4 weeks ago & had never gotten around to planting them. We planted what we could & then formulated a list of what was still needed.

Sawyer hung out & looked cute.
Same with Tru:

…and even though Hudson was asleep when we were gardening- you’ve got to see this little picture of him with his natural mohawk earlier in the day.

Saturday morning, Scott & I piled the car full of kids & strollers & ran to the mall. Scott had to get a new phone because his was broken. We also stopped into Nordstrom’s & got Hudson a few new pairs of shoes.

Then we headed to the Art & Wine festival downtown to meet up with our friends Scott & Laurette & their two boys. We rode a few rides and walked around and it was sooooo freaking hot. I can’t believe what a 180 the weather did this weekend!

Here is Scott & Scott waiting in line for a ride.

and here is Sean (he’s 3) & Hudson playing in the back of the Tahoe. So cute. Sean is so sweet and plays so nice with Hudson. He shares and always let’s Hudson play with his stuff. I can only hope Hudson is so nice to Tru & Sawyer.
…And here is my beautiful son. I sometimes cannot even stand how cute he is in his Small Paul skurvy shorts & Willie Nelson tee. (He’s obviously cute all the time- but this outfit is realllllly freaking cute.)

When we were finished at the street fair we went over our friends for the evening & afterwards, Scott watched the kids while I ran to Orchard for the rest of the stuff for the garden. We finished up the deck last night & it looks great. It’s finally ready for summer!!!

I am gonna do a garden tour this week.

I also discovered THIS:

I got effing SUNBURNTTTTTTTTTTT. I am in PAIN people! PAIN!
This morning Scott woke up super early & replaced his sister’s brake pads & rotors before I even woke up. I woke up at 930 to still sleeping babies. I got up, fed and changed the twins- got Hudson up at like 10 & then Scott came home with Starbucks & Noah’s. YESSS.

Today was gorgeous & we spent most of the day outside enjoying our decks. Hudson played on the side deck with his water table until nap time. While he napped Scott cleaned the house while I went grocery shopping. It was awesome. Then the rest of the afternoon was spent with my kids & husband on our deck playing with water and smelling flowers and taking pictures of Hudson running around in nothing but neon orange crocs. (Yes, I know they are hideous- but somehow so much less hideous on my adorable son! It’s like an ironic t-shirt. Hate them for me- but get a kick out of them on the ‘right person’) We capped off the evening with BBQ burgers, watermelon & corn on the cob as a family.

I freaking LOVED this weekend.

I LOVE weekends like those. They are the best. Sawyer is such a cute little lady. All of your kids are cute! Duh. But that picture is extra cute of her. PS I can not wait to garden. Or I should say can’t wait ’til I have money to garden. Moving made us some broke jokes!
