I love it when Scott gets a day off during the week. I mean, as self-employed types we have to get those hours whenever we can- but something about a weekday off makes life that much more magical. I think anytime we can break from the normal routine is exciting and fun!
I have been wanting to visit the water temple which is on the Hetch Hetchy reservoir/aquaduct. The Hetch Hetchy supplies the entire Peninsula and is just absolutely gorgeous. (I find that while we call it Hetch Hetchy here- the portion we live along is called “Crystal Springs” which makes sense since everything along that area is called Crystal Springs this & Crystal Springs that.)

“I give waters in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert,
to give drink to my people “
(inscribed on the plaque at the temple)
I have this within a 5 minute ride from the house & it is magnificient. Like, breathtaking on the right kind of day.
And Friday was one of those days. I have been DYING to go to Fioli & then picnic down the road at the Pulgas Water Temple which was a monument that was built in celebration of the finishing of the aquaduct. And it is GORGEOUS.
Unfortunately (or fortunately if you need a wedding location) they are only open to the public on weekdays and are closed for the weekend for events. As in- you could get married there. My Dad & Stepmom took their wedding photos there but it never once crossed my mind that we could have gotten married there. Someday when we renew our vows- I’m thinking this is the place.
So, Friday morning when I woke up and noticed a still sleeping Scott- I was excited. His jobs were moved to Saturday & we were finally going for our picnic!!

Isn’t to gorgeous? We sat next to the reflecting pool under the shade of a giant oak tree and had an amazing deli lunch of sandwiches from nearby Robert’s Market.
And we played. it was wonderful!

…While my beautiful little teeny babies (Since Hudson is still considered my Little Baby) napped in their stroller.

I can't believe you live so close to something so beautiful! This inspires me to explore more around where I live instead of longing to live somewhere else. Thanks

I have lived in the same area my entire life. I STILL find new treasures all the time!
