I mean- I AM writing a standard love note to the men in my life on Father’s Day… but not JUST because it’s Father’s Day. Because really- they deserve this post every day. They do. They are that great.

To my Dad for making me laugh as long as I can remember. I love that we are both totally cry-laughers. I must have gotten that from you, but every time I see you cry-laugh I feel really connected. I love you so much. I used to think you were over-the-top too strict and “totally unfair” but now I get it. Thanks.

To my Step-Father for loving me as much as any Dad could. I never hesitate to call you my dad when speaking of you. I bet that confuses people that I have two. But I do. You’ve been there every step of the way and I love you. Thanks for always being someone I can be myself around.

To the love of my life, Scott. I cannot even find the words to tell you what you mean to me & to our children. You deserve our gratitude every single day. And I hope you FEEL our gratitude every single day. You are more than I could have imagined when I met you 13 years ago. We are bursting at the seams with love and appreciation for the man you are. It’s beyond words.

To my Father-in-Law- Thank you for treating me like a daughter. Thank you for stopping by with ice cream constantly. You may not have raised me- but I’ve known you since I was 14 years old. And make no mistake that you are amazing. In fact you have an impeccable track record. You’ve given me my husband-as well as my two closest friends in the entire world. For that you will always have my love.

To all men- fathers, step-father, father figures & future fathers- Thank you for being there. For being the examples that young men grow up to be.
