This is the first day of my life.

Sorry.

August 4th, 2010

Not that anyone has been missing me, but I have been a bit MIA lately. I am just kind of OVER the internet right now. Someone send a doctor because I’ve OBVIOUSLY lost it!

OK, maybe I haven’t lost it. But I have been busy doing things that aren’t wasting my life on the internet. Blogging is getting to be more of a chore as the twins get older & subsequently need more from me. Gone are the days where they slept most of the day & woke up only to eat or be changed or cuddled. They have personality. They have wants as well as needs. And mostly? They want to be propped up in the sitting position so they can smile and coo at their older brother.

Today Truman & Sawyer are 5 months old. Sawyer is getting very very close to sitting, which Hudson did at 5 months & 4 days if I remember correctly. So, I am working diligently to see if I can get them to match (or beat!) his record. They still both have blue eyes, but Tru’s are a grey-blue while Sawyer’s are bright sky blue. I’m still amazed by this because even though I spent much time during both my pregnancies thinking about how it COULD happen- I never really thought I’d end up with two blue eyed children. And sometimes I find myself sad I wished SO HARD for a blue eyed child because Hudson’s eyes are AMAZING and have so much chocolatey personality. Plus, the blue eyes came with lighter eyelashes. Which sucks for them because Hudson may have the longest darkest eyelashes I’ve ever seen. They are all beautiful & vibrant babies. They make me smile everyday but gosh! It is a lot of work.

This past week I had a bunch of things I wanted to blog about but then never did. Last Tuesday the twins has a check up. I don’t remember the exact height & head circumference- but they are exactly the same. Which is hilarious. Sawyer is 13#1oz & Truman 13#15oz. FINALLY Sawyer is the “little one.” I was worried she’d be bigger than her brother forever! Scott was able to make it just in time to accompany me to the doctor with the kids. I was worried because HELLO! 3 of them & me in the doctor’s office? All bad. Scott also got the privilege of watching the twins get shots. It was the first time he has seen any of our kids get shots. But then, to make me look bad they barely even made a peep. So now Scott thinks it’s “no big deal.” Whatever, Scott. Whatever.

There was more from last week but at this point it’s possibly irrelevant. So, We will fast forward to my weekend. Friday night my two sister-in-laws & I went for mani/pedis. It was AWESOME because I really needed a pedicure & extra awesome because we opted for the fancy “summer pomegranate” pedicure which was longer but cost more. And when we got the bill Krust & I almost died that our pedicures were $45!! After tip etc it cost me $72.00 for a mani/pedi. I probably should have just stayed home. It WAS wonderful though. I spent the rest of the night with the girls and had a great time. My favorite nights are just hanging out with my family.

Saturday morning we got up bright and early at 7:30 8:45 in order to leave for my grandparent’s house by 9:00 10:45. The drive up there is about 3 hours. We went up for a BBQ/family get together. It was exciting because all my aunts & uncles and cousins were going to be there. But, of course my other grandma ended up in the hospital on Friday night so one of my aunts had to stay back to make sure she was ok. (She is back at home and doing better.) We took a photo of all the blood relatives present- as in no husbands or wives and it was STILL this big:

Yes, I belong to a very large Italian Family (Who are unable to take a photo apparently.) I mean, you add my missing aunt & cousin & the husbands & wives? That’s an additional 8 people! And this plus my Nonnie and some of our extended families (maybe another 5+) are who show up when we have our family Christmas. The presents? Are out of control.

Sunday- ‘The Girls’ (which when I say ‘the girls’ from here on out you’ll know I’m talking about Krust & Sarah my SILs) & I went to the Renegade Craft Faire at Fort Mason. It was HUGE. I got a few awesome goodies & had a blast looking at everything. Too bad my feet almost FELL OFF by the time I got home. So tyty.

Anddddd- I dunno what else there is to share. I think I’m up to speed. Normal blogging to resume in 3…2…1…
go!

I missed you! I was just thinking I hadn't heard nearly enough about your adorable childrens recently. I feel like taking my own little internet break – especially This Weekend if you know what I mean – but I think I would be lonely during naptime. Which is why I'm having more children – to keep from being lonely. What, that's totally normal and healthy, right?

I've missed you as well! I love hearing about your sweet babies, and you're silly stories {still laughing over the stroller wheeling away LMFAO!} I've also been kinda "over" the internet lately, and blogging has felt like a chore. Just means we need to take a wee break and gain some insight :)

While we all enjoy reading what you and your wonderful family are up to, everyone needs a break sometimes!

WORD! TO THE MAX. SO haven't been in the mood for blogging lately. I've done lots of stuff lately that I would normally consider "totally blog worthy" and I have no desire to make a post out of it.

Is it bad that I was happy you were MIA because it made it easier for me to catch up? It's so hard for me to actually get on the computer during the day, but I really lack the motivation to do so. Who wants to dick around online when there's an adorable, newly smiling, blue-eyed baby to play with or nap with? Not this girl. So you being MIA means I didn't feel like an asshole for only being able to check in once or twice a week.

that being said, I'm happy you're back and I'll try to do a better job of keeping up ;)

Um, I miss you!! Im glad to hear you've been having a good time. I hear ya with the chore part of blogging. Now that Everly is up and moving about, I always have great blogging ideas, but rarely get to sit down and write them and then when I do get a chance I just have total mind farts….so yes, I hear ya. But I do love coming back and seeing your updates :)

I am glad you are back!! I missed you!! You should do more vlogs too….I mean that's gotta be faster than blogging. It's like the lazy blog. Should be a Llog instead of a Vlog.

    Whoa. Tangent.

Missed your voice on the webs! Glad you're doing well and I can't believe that Truman and Sawyer are 5 months already…how's Hudson doing with "big-brotherhood"?

He's doing good! Getting to the point where he really acknowledges the babies. When they are in their jumperoo thing, bumbos or whatever he shows them toys and kisses them or puts his arm around them. It's pretty cute! I keep fast-forwarding a year in my mind & I can't wait to line them all up on the couch for snacks or go to the park etc. It's gonna be so much fun!
