Yes, you. SATURDAY! YOU are my favorite day of the week. The first of TWO days I spend with my husband (mostly) uninterrupted for 48 glorious hours.
Last night I spent with my sister-in-laws and my BFF Lisa. After Krust got off work we met at a nearby hiking trail along with my buddy Mario & took a nice hike. I am soooo out of shape but I hiked twice this week which I feel great about. (Look at me & my UN-laziness!) Even if I huffed and puffed up the hills- I made it. And it was fun. And I almost peed my pants from laughing and also having to actually pee.
After the hike we went to Taco Bell because seriously what better way to cap off a nice hard trail hike than with fast food. Am I right? Oh well, even if you think I’m gross- there was a reason for the TB visit. Have you had the new Cantina tacos? OMG! The carnitas ones are literally sooooo good. I ate three. Don’t judge.
By that time I went home to eat with my family and hang out with Hudson for a few minutes before he went to sleep. Hudson is cutting two teeth right now so bedtime last night was pretty crazy. I’m sure I shouldn’t complain. Scott took him to bed as I prepared for an exciting night of wandering Target with my girls. (We live a VERY exciting life, people!) But Hudson? He was crying. And he literally NEVER cries at bedtime. So I went upstairs and chatted with him and tucked him in. It took an extra 10 minutes while my friends milled around downstairs but he went down after that with no issues. Also? He has a bird shaped nightlight and TOTALLY very clearly said “birdie” several times to the bird. So adorable.
After spending entirely too much at Target, Krust, Scott & I sat on our asses on the couch chatting and watching TV googling about really weird morbid shit like autopsy photos and missing children and scanning the Megan’s Law site. I also broke down and visited the NAMBLA site because I was so shocked it actually existed. Hopefully I wasn’t being internet-monitored because last night? I’m pretty sure my browser history would have alerted authorities!
By the time I passed out it was 4am. Look! I can still stay up!
But back to the reason I was posting (I get off track.) TODAY! GLORIOUS WONDERFUL AMAZING SATURDAYYYYY!!!
I woke up at 9. The kids were all still asleep. Daddy of course had to work this morning As usual. Geeze. But after breakfast he was already home! Hudson got picked up by my Mom for the day/night because she likes to steal him whenever possible-
*sidenote: her taking him this weekend went like this: I spoke with my stepdad on Wednesday who ended up skipping our Wednesday family night. He said “it’s OK I’ll see Hudson Saturday when he stays here.” & I was like “What are you talking about?” Then, of course an hour later my mom was like “sooooooo what are you guys doing this weekend?” And so I said “well, apparently Hudson is staying with you according to Papa!”*
Anyhow once Hudson left Scott & I strapped the babies into the bjorn & ergo and walked to the shopping center close to our house. We had lunch & shopped at toys r’ us. It was super fun & the twins were angels. No, really. Strangers told us that. Not my words. Theirs. And 13 pounds in a bjorn for 3 hours? It was HARD!
Then this evening my sister-in-laws came over again. (It’s a pattern. Seriously I hang out with one of them every single day.) We watched Lockup & ate BLTs and had fun. I counted all my spare change and it totalled over $400. Ummmmm. I’m rich! I suppose that totally makes up for me crazily buying my Blogher11 ticket early-early-early bird status at like 7:30 on Friday morning before I even sat up in bed. I’m committed to the cause. And now? My spare change is totally coming in handy!

It's weird because I totally hear your voice in my head when I read your posts. And what's weird about that is? I've never actually heard your voice. It's just the one I've made up for you ha.
