Monday night here. Just about to feed some babies before I konk out for the night.
We had a delightful weekend which started kinda early on Friday when Scott took the morning off so we could go to Goodguy’s to meet up with one of my childhood friends, Howli, who was visiting. It was great to see her & fabulous to get some extra hands with the kids even if just for a few minutes!
After the car show we headed home because Scott worked in the afternoon. Friday night, as per usual- I went to Target with my sister-in-laws. LIVING THE DREAM PEOPLE. Actually, I love Target with all my heart & soul so I have no problem with spending my Friday night there. Got some stuff I need & then hung out on the couch chatting. Good times.
Saturday we had our community garage sale. I didn’t get rid of much but I made $100.00 which isn’t too shabby for like 4 hours of work. Afterwards I dragged my burnt ass home & ordered Chinese food with Sarah, Krust, Scott, Lisa & Harley. Lucky Dragon is THE SHIT. Like, their mongolian chicken is AMAZING.
Sunday we visited with my Grandma, aunt & uncle in the morning. It was fun to see my Nonnie since we don’t get to see her that often. We had lunch & Hudson spent the entire time turning on & off her TV. Then we went over to Scott’s aunt for a BBQ in honor of Sarah’s birthday.
Hudson enjoyed playing with the doggie door.
Adorable, right?!
And then he stopped to smell the flowers.
Tru & Sawyer spent time relaxing in the laps of friends & family.
And after all the weekend excitement we came home & curled up on the couch. It was awesome. I caught up on some blog posts I had been meaning to do & went to bed early. I am gonna have a TON of posts this week with catch up photos & videos I’ve been meaning to post. Stay tuned!
Last Sunday, Lisa came over bright & early so we could drive out to Santa Cruz to head to see our tattoo artist, Hudge at FU TATTOO. We’ve been going to him for about 7 years now so it’s always fun to make a day of heading over the hill to the coast & get tattooed & catch up with him & some of the other shop employees.
Lisa got a sweet anchor on her forearm.
I got the other half of my “I will be grateful for this day. 12.7.05 1.20.09″ tattoo that I started right before I found out I was pregnant with the twins last summer. I got on my other forearm “I will be grateful for each day to come 3.3.10.” I am so in love with these tattoos. Seriously.
I also got a molar on my arm and underneath it says “teef” which is kinda of a nickname that I am officially owning since I’ve got big ass teeth.
Hilarous because I was chatting with our artist and was like “I also want to get a tooth on my forearm. Like a molar.” to which the shop guy answered “Like this one?” and lifted his arm to show me the molar tattoo he had in exactly the same location I was getting mine. TWINSTARS!
Can’t wait for these to finish healing and start saving for my next ones. I am going to get my last name somewhere & then a shoulder cap of my favorite flowers.
Which is why when I post a video they are all not cute & unedited because I have no idea how to edit a video and even if I did I won’t pay for software like that so yeah- you get the full deal when I post a video.
Today? Hudson discovered he could climb over the couch as a means of getting off the couch. He spent the next (literally) 30 minutes doing it over & over. &over. &over. AND OVERRRRR. And I filmed about 5 minutes of the madness.
I guess it’s probably not thrilling or anything but the kid is persistant. He is probably so good at everything because he sets his mind on a task like climbing over the couch and does it over and over again- each time gaining speed and coordination- until he MASTERS it. It’s funny to watch their brains work as they learn new (and in this case both useless & dangerous) skills.
I think they need to make a show called Baby Hoarders.

I could be the star. Because I have baby fever. Even though I am trapped in my house much of the time with more babies than I can bring to Target on my own. I still want more. No, I am not HAVING more anytime soon, but if I won the lotto or something? I’d be like the lady with 500 cats. Except it would be kids, you know- minus the neglect & deplorable conditions. But I can definitely get a mental picture of HELLA babies just taking up every inch of space in my house. I’d be really happy, too.
For lack of a better way to say this? I fully smell what these two are steppin’ in. Yadidah? (That was TOTALLY a Leif impression, for those of you that know me for real.
Yes, you. SATURDAY! YOU are my favorite day of the week. The first of TWO days I spend with my husband (mostly) uninterrupted for 48 glorious hours. Continue reading 'Hello. I love you.'»
Not that anyone has been missing me, but I have been a bit MIA lately. I am just kind of OVER the internet right now. Someone send a doctor because I’ve OBVIOUSLY lost it! Continue reading 'Sorry.'»
