By Emmie B, December 31, 2009 11:42 AM

I was never skinny. NEVER. EVER. Like, not even really fit. I’ve gone ahead and shared that MULTIPLE times. But, in finding some pics for an end of year post- I found this:

It is abundantly clear that I may lose it.

By Emmie B, December 29, 2009 8:27 PM

It’s 10 PM.

I mean, that part is OK. I got the little guy down at about 8:30 after an extra warm baba and some baby tylenol because as I discovered this morning- he has TWO top teeth making their way into his mouth.

Some Bullshit.

By Emmie B, December 21, 2009 8:55 PM

Rodarte is pretty much sold out at my Target. They had one dress and hella swimsuits.

According to my sis-in-law stuff is already on eBay. Boo.

There were a few dresses I was really interested in, but I suppose it’s cool, since I am huge and couldn’t wear anything for at least a few months anyhow.

My new favorite show.

By Emmie B, November 21, 2009 12:21 AM

Ok I am officially obsessed with the show ‘Say yes to the dress’. I’ve been watching when they play an hour in the afternoons. Now I’m up at 2:30am watching a marathon.

I went to Lisa’s tonight and when I got home I took a nap because my ribs were KILLING me. I don’t know why. Anyways, asked the hubs to get Hudson ready for bed eventhough Hudson was asleep in his playpen. We have to double diaper him at night because otherwise he leaks and he wakes up in the middle of the night.

Scott clearly didn’t change Hudsons diaper and probably hadn’t in a while because he just woke up crying at 2:30 with his entire outfit soaked in pee. So I went change him as he cried and thrased and discovered he had poops in a bad way. So I’m in the dark with shit everywhere and Hudson thrashing around in it. Fabulous! Luckily I was able to get through it and now Hudson is playing in bed with me. Yes we are playing at 2:30!!! But tonight I don’t care because I’m already up watching tv.

As for the show: I’ve decided that Scott & I need to renew our vows either next year for our 5 year or for our 10 year JUST for the sole reason that I never wore a wedding dress. Heck, he can just buy me my dream dress and I’ll scrub floors in it on a wednesday! I just feel like it’s something I really am upset to have missed. So at some point in my life I will have to get my dress.

Ok back to tv. Nighttttt. <3

I love him but I may kill him.

So, pregnancy in general makes it hard to sleep. Add to that the extra worrying and stuff that you do while cooking babies and sometimes you are lucky to fall asleep at all.

Because I am so huge now (at 23 weeks, FML) I am also having theend of pregnancy issues where I can’t find a good position or can’t breath or my back or stomach is spazzing or any number of other shit. Yes, I am a debby downer.

Anyways, last night I woke up at 1 AM with my back killing me to discover that I also could not breathe. It was soooo hot in my room and the heat had also completely stuffed up my nose. I got up to pee and realized the husband had turned on the heater in the room up to like 100 degrees. No joke. I immediately opened the sliding glass door and went outside! Once I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to suffocate I checked on Hudson to make sure he was alive-since I’m pretty sure it was hot enough. He was fine- but I had to keep the door open and sleep with no covers or clothes. Scott woke up and asked what was wrong and I told him that the heater was NOT going to work for me and if he was cold to get more clothes/blankets/get closer to his wife since I am like 100% warmer than usual while cooking baby. He said OK and after chugging 2 bottles of ice cold water I fell asleep.

I woke up at 6 this morning with the same symptoms and sure enough he waited till I fell asleep and turned on the heater AGAIN!!

I think I’m gonna sleep on the couch tonight. Seriously.

In just a few days:

I’s alllll over the news, but HOLY CRAP!

It has been 20 YEARS since the Loma Prieta earthquake. Well, on the 17th anyhow.

I cannot even fathom that it has been 20 years- but looking back- I remember every second of it. One of the scarier days of my life. From the initial quake that left me and my roller skates on our ass- to the millions of aftershocks that scared me to death. My dad having to work all night (he’s a policeman) and my pregnant mom and I staying with my uncle.

I can only hope that next time my family is as fortunate as we were in 1989. Only a few little items broken in our house, no injuries etc.

earthquake-1

Anyhow: It’s hard to believe this happened so long ago. My little brother (who will be twenty in April) wasn’t even ALIVE. I mean, that’s mind boggling.

1989

Earthquakes are the scariest shit ever. I think about them everytime I have to cross the bay or get stuck in slow traffic on an overpass. It’s a real fear. I’m hoping I got my one big earthquake out of the way early. I dunno if I’m ready for the next one. I mean, before 1989- 1906 was the last notable earthquake in the Bay Area. 83 years. I should have 60+ years left earthquake free! Cross your fingerssss.

Car Issues Suck.

By Emmie B, September 22, 2009 6:29 AM

And it’s not like the Jetta is broken or anything. In fact, it’s fine for once. It even was able to jump the E350 today when the battery had died!

But, as I am making wishlists and thinking to the future, Scott and I have come to the realization that we are totally outta luck when it comes to our car. Why? Because a Jetta is SOOOOO small that an infant/rear facing car seat will only fit in the middle seat. I mean, they will fit on the sides, but, not with a human adult sitting in the front. There is NO WAY to fit three car seats, all rear facing- let alone two of those being infant car seats. I may die. So, as it stands, only two children and one adult will be able to go in the car at once. Our family will be forever divided until we save up enough for a bigger car!

This is sad news. So, if anyone has a slightly larger car and wants to A. trade or B. give or C. sell for a ridiculously low sums of $100- let us know!!

I have found a car seat that will work across the Jetta but only if they are all front facing. Which, of course is impossible. We may be walking until the kids can face front.

Lame.
