Excuse me, Mr. Bush.

Wednesday night, my mom, stepdad, Scott, the kids & I went on a walk. Hudson was RUNNING ahead and got sidetracked by something enough to lose his balance and collide with a bush. His face looked a lot worse the morning after but he seems OK with it. If there is one thing I can teach my boys is that chicks DIG scars. I mean, I know I do.

This is obviously NOT a complaint.

It’s 4:30AM & I have been up for an hour. I woke up in a semi-panic because the twins haven’t eaten since like 8PM & have been sleeping ever since. I was sitting in bed at like 11 & thought to myself “well, I should probably wake them up & feed them because they haven’t eaten & I want them to sleep! But I fell asleep & they are still asleep & totally OK. This is the scene most nights. They are not quite 6 months old & they sleep for like 12 hours. How can they do that?!?! And more importantly don’t they NEED food? I am seriously considering waking them up right now to feed them because. like I said- it’s 4:30AM and I am almost afraid to let them go till 8-830AM. That’s like 13 hours without food! But, they are happy & content & maybe I should just count my blessings?
Hudson slept through the night but at 6 months he usually went down at about 10 and slept till we got up. The twins don’t sleep with us so they go down earlier.
Anyways- enough ranting. I am going to wake them & feed them & change them because for whatever reason I can’t sleep.

EDIT: Anyone have any info on how long a healthy happy 6 month old can sleep for without NEEDING food? My google searches failed me big time.

I don’t have fancy editing capabilities.

Which is why when I post a video they are all not cute & unedited because I have no idea how to edit a video and even if I did I won’t pay for software like that so yeah- you get the full deal when I post a video.

Today? Hudson discovered he could climb over the couch as a means of getting off the couch. He spent the next (literally) 30 minutes doing it over & over. &over. &over. AND OVERRRRR. And I filmed about 5 minutes of the madness.

I guess it’s probably not thrilling or anything but the kid is persistant. He is probably so good at everything because he sets his mind on a task like climbing over the couch and does it over and over again- each time gaining speed and coordination- until he MASTERS it. It’s funny to watch their brains work as they learn new (and in this case both useless & dangerous) skills.

Hanging out.

Tru & Sawyer look adorable playing together. I love them lots. AH. DOOR. AH. BULL.

Hudson is a cool guy.

Yup. Cooooooollllll.

And pretty effing cute too, right? Gahhhh I cannot stand his cuteness sometimes.

Parents cry too much

Today we woke up (not) bright & early and went down to Redwood City to go to lunch and to Bookstock. We got there around 11:30 & found a Farmer’s market and got a TON of stuff since it closed at Noon & most of the vendors had slashed prices. Seriously nectarines, peaches, pluots, plums, pears etc for $1.00 a pound! Score 1 for today!! Continue reading 'Parents cry too much'»

Event: Bookstock

A family friend of ours was over earlier this week. She works at the RWC library & told us about this event. If you are in the area it sounds like a great thing to check out. Food! Crafts! And “rock n’ roll” music aimed at kids. Of course there will be BOOKS & who doesn’t love THAT? It’s a great FREE event in our area that families can enjoy together!

Here is a link to DIRECTIONS

he event takes place at beautiful Courthouse Square.

We hope to see you there! <3

I have an addict in my house.

Actually LOTS of addicts, really.

Cat= addicted to getting in fights and beheading birds.
Dogs= addicted to being the most ill behaved dogs who have ever lived.
Sawyer= addicted to never actually finishing a bottle.
Tru= addicted to spitting up as soon as you think you are safe.
Scott= addicted to video games.
Emily= addicted to twitter.
AND HUDSON= addicted to Hyland’s teething tablets.

Not. a. joke.

I started giving them to him when he was teething around a year old. I had only given him tylenol a handful of times in his life as he has never been sick beyond a cold. No fevers ever. But he is cutting 2 teeth right now- on top of the one that busted through a week or so ago & homeboy? He wants his drugs.

When he sees the bottle he puts his cupped hand out like he’s begging for change. I give him them before bed & before nap only- but anytime he passes the bottle he begs for them. And when I do give it to him, like today before his nap, I put the 2-3 tablets in his hand and he eats them one at a time like candies. Then wants more. And cries when I walk away with the bottle.

This is addiction right?

The kid needs a homeopathic drug intervention.

Divorce & other sad shit.

You guys?? It’s Hudson’s un-birthday today. As in, ONE YEAR AGO he was only a 6 month old baby boy. He was TINY. Continue reading 'Divorce & other sad shit.'»
