Claptastic.

By Emmie B, December 8, 2009 8:27 PM

Hudson may be slow to the party because I feel like clapping would be a milestone that is met much earlier than almost 11 months.

But, hilariously enough even though I have tried to teach him to clap- tonight he clapped. Granted, he has clapped before- but not repetitively with audible volume like a real human. AND it was appropriately awesomely at the end of a dance routine on SYTYCD. The dance was over. The audience clapped and so did he. It continued like that for two whole hours and I loved it.

Of course, after the clapping he also felt he should kiss both his father and I. I don’t care how weird it is. There is nothing sweeter than watching your son try to french his father. ADORABLE.

BTW: I love love loved SYTYCD tonight. I also love their use of Portishead. Always good times.

Serious Business.

This kid takes Yo! Gabba! Gabba! very seriously.

Maybe because it is the only show I let him watch- and he is lucky if we watch one episode on demand every other day. I’m trying my best not to turn him into me. TV and I are pretty much BFF and I want more for my kiddo.

So, for now- he will take what he can get.

My new favorite show.

By Emmie B, November 21, 2009 12:21 AM

Ok I am officially obsessed with the show ‘Say yes to the dress’. I’ve been watching when they play an hour in the afternoons. Now I’m up at 2:30am watching a marathon.

I went to Lisa’s tonight and when I got home I took a nap because my ribs were KILLING me. I don’t know why. Anyways, asked the hubs to get Hudson ready for bed eventhough Hudson was asleep in his playpen. We have to double diaper him at night because otherwise he leaks and he wakes up in the middle of the night.

Scott clearly didn’t change Hudsons diaper and probably hadn’t in a while because he just woke up crying at 2:30 with his entire outfit soaked in pee. So I went change him as he cried and thrased and discovered he had poops in a bad way. So I’m in the dark with shit everywhere and Hudson thrashing around in it. Fabulous! Luckily I was able to get through it and now Hudson is playing in bed with me. Yes we are playing at 2:30!!! But tonight I don’t care because I’m already up watching tv.

As for the show: I’ve decided that Scott & I need to renew our vows either next year for our 5 year or for our 10 year JUST for the sole reason that I never wore a wedding dress. Heck, he can just buy me my dream dress and I’ll scrub floors in it on a wednesday! I just feel like it’s something I really am upset to have missed. So at some point in my life I will have to get my dress.

Ok back to tv. Nighttttt. <3

Sleepoverrrrr. (rather- complete disarray!)

By Emmie B, November 9, 2009 8:14 PM

So, today was insane.

It was fun- but totally out of control.

This is probably something I shouldn’t advertise, but most of you have pets- so- Yeah, I have gross disgusting FLEA INFESTED animals.

I mean, they all take Advantage and stuff. But, apparently we woke up this morning and Scott discovered something called “flea dust” where we were sleeping. Gross. So, we immediately had to get up and deal with it- even though I’ve been complaining of being bitten by “something” for literally a month. He got one bite last night and suddenly- it’s like “GET THE FFFF UP! FLEAS!!”

So, we got up and took Bantam (our cat) to Cat’s Inn for a flea bath, nail clipping and Frontline application and then went to breakfast, and went to a couple jobs with Scotty. After he was done- we went to Petco and spent like wayyyy more than anyone should ever at Petco. We got shampoo- Frontline for two dogs, and FLEA BOMBS! Afterwards, we fogged the house and took the family out for a cruise in the Cruiser. Dogs are bathed and flea combed….

Scott also made me make an appointment for carpet cleaning in the morning to finish our flea-killing mission. But, since he is going to be super busy tomorrow and couldn’t be around to help me move all the furniture out of our room we did it tonight. Which is why I am sleeping on my mattress in the living room watching the 10 o’clock news! (Which, is doing a story on the stars of Twilight appearing at Stonestown tonight! lol)

And now- I wait. I am hoping Scott will bring home a slurpee for his twice pregnant wife. I’m even more embarrassed about this than the flea infestation- but my husband is with his friends at the mall. Waiting in line at Game Stop for the new Call of Duty MW2 video game that comes out tomorrow. Apparently, Game Stop is having some sort of nerd-fest tonight culminating at midnight when my hardcore gaming (but adorable!) husband will come home and play his new video game till he passes out. I’m sure that will carry over ’til later tomorrow when he will wake up late- be upset and cranky- go to work and then get home late and basically ignore us until next year when he realizes he’s been playing PS3 for 4 months straight. No joke.

And can I just throw in that my ass hurts?! I am like a 90 year old. Pregnancy complaint #1: Sciatica. I had it when I was prego with Hudson too- but it is sooo bad. It feels like a charley horse that goes from my right ass cheek to my thigh. AND IT HURTS! It happens suddenly and I cannot even MOVE for several seconds. Boo.

OK, I swore I was done- but one more thing, since this is a “mom” blog. MacLaren has officially recalled ALL MacLaren strollers in the US made from 1999-2009. Over a million strollers!! That sucks. So, if you have one- watch your little one’s fingers. Apparently, they are getting chopped off!!! :(

PS: GG was GREAT tonight!!!

Because I forgot:

South Park’s new season is making MY LIFE. South Park is like my all-time favorite show and I feel like every single year they outdo themselves. It’s absolutely amazing and hilarious.

That is all.

Cake Boss

By Emmie B, October 25, 2009 9:35 PM

There is a marathon on right now and being that it’s after midnight on a Sunday/Monday- It’s the most amusing thing on at the moment.

Only problem is that I want to slit my wrists every time the “cake boss” says fondant, which he chooses to pronounce “FAWNNNN-DAWNNNTTT” It literally makes me angry. I have no idea why it bothers me so much- but it just DOES.

Boo.

OH. MY. GOD.

Comcast

By Emmie B, October 2, 2009 7:15 AM

I just saw a commercial for Comcast that says I can see caller ID on my TV!! I went online and checked it out! It’s a free service and I HATE getting up only to find it’s a telemarketer or a customer that should call during business hours.

Anyways, I’m stoked. I’m gonna set it up today and then wait till Scott screams “WTF?!” from the other room when caller ID interrupts yet ANOTHER episode of Lock & Load.
